Top 5 Most Expensive Rolex Watches

Wondering which are the World’s Most Expensive Rolex Watches? You are in the right place!
Which are the first things that comes in your mind when you hear the word “Rolex“? Yes, for me are luxury, fashion, style and super watches!
Since 1905 when Hans Wildorf and Alfred Davis made the company Rolex, initially in London but after a few years, in 1919 it was transferred to Geneva (Switzerland). The brand Rolex has been used a lot in sports, mostly tennis at Wimbledon and the Australian Open and Formula 1 as a principal sponsor.
The watch is a proven timepiece.
Here is a list of the top five Most Expensive Rolex Watches:

5. Dr. Rajendra Prasad’s Gold Rolex Oyster – $440,000

This not so superb in my opinion but very expensive watch was owned by the first president of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad. He received it during the India’s first ever Republic Day in 1950. The watch is made by 18 karats gold and on the dial is the map of India dated 26 January 1950 inscribed into it thing which makes the watch even more special.

4. James Bond 1973 Rolex 5513 – $450,000

This beautiful watch was used on the movie Live and Let Die by Roger Moor. It has a black dial with brown and the rest of the watch is stainless steel body and strapping. It has been used in a James Bond movie so it has a razor disc, buzz saw, and a magnetic field generator. James used the razor disc to remove a woman’s dress. It sounds cool, but while you may try the watch to take off a woman’s clothing, you should do the wise thing and not try the bulletproof feature brought about by the magnetic field.

3. Rolex GMT 116769TBR – $485,350

This watch is the most expensive which comes directly form the Rolex company. It has a diamond dial with luminous hour markers, the hands are luminous as well and the bracelet is made form white gold of 18 karats. And as this is not enough, along the sides is filled with diamonds.

2. Eric Clapton’s 1971 Rolex Daytona - $505,000

Eric Clapton is a name that everyone know, as his guitars this watch is very expensive. It features a silver monochrome dial, a stark contrast to the more common design themes of Rolex that have different schemes. This watch was nicknamed Albino (this is pretty funny). His actually value should me lower but the fact it has been used by some awesome people it rises the value.

1. 1942 Rolex Chronograph – $1.16 million

Not just because it’s the most expensive this is my favorite! Have been made only 12 watches like this 1942 classic. Originally estimated to have a value of around $680 thousand, it went at a auction for $1.16 million. The watch has silver matte dials and a nickel finish and lever movement. It features 17 jewels and pink gold Arabic and baton numerals.
No matter where you are and what kind of people are around you, a Rolex watch is always getting all the looks.
